Emily is the Program Coordinator and Consultant for SBLP Cambridge & Somerville. A Cambridge native with years of experience working with local business owners, she has a deep understanding of the daily challenges that small and medium-sized companies face in a global economy. Emily has performed sustainability assessments at a variety of local companies in different service areas including food services, retail, lodging and professional offices. Her recommendations have effectively helped “green” company operations and reduce resource usage and expenses. Emily also connects clients with other local government and business associations, including Cambridge Local First, Somerville Local First, Cambridge Energy Alliance and GoGreen Somerville. Emily graduated with a B.A. from Boston University, and has lived and travelled extensively in South America and Asia. Through this international experience, Emily saw firsthand the effects of globalization on the environment and local businesses, and has developed a passion for developing sustainable local economies.
