The Python-esque composite image above is an example of the work by Sammy Baloji, one of the finalists in this year’s Prix Pictet for environmental art. Also nominated is Edward Burtynsky, whose work is on exhibit at the Museum of Science as previously mentioned.
Not amongst the listed candidates, but with work in a similar vein is artist Chris Jordan. He was featured on this week’s Bill Moyers Journal.
